Relation

DefinitionA relation is the connection (edge) between two entities. It has three states: empty, active and passive.

In the abstract model the connection between two nodes is called an edge. In the real world we call it a relation. The whole way of thinking rests on one simple claim: everything is in relation. An entity only becomes meaningful, though, once there is an active relation to it.

A relation is not static. It moves between three states: empty (never used), active (currently in motion) and passive (learned, but quiet right now). This very shift explains why situations can change even though the people involved stay the same.
