About

Benedikt Müller

I am Benedikt, I come from IT security and hold a master's degree in internet security. In my work I model IT systems as provenance graphs — graphs that make visible which processes, files and users relate to one another, in order to spot unusual and potentially dangerous connections.

At some point I noticed that I do not only work in graphs but think and feel in them. Learning something new, for me, means opening up a new entity and connecting it to what I already carry. This way of thinking grew out of that observation — and so did the book.

I share it for free because I believe the value is not in the sale but in what comes back when people start thinking this way. The book still exists — it bundles everything compactly and supports the work.

Where I rely on real sources, I make that transparent on the sources page.
